Bōkas was inspired by the two rainforests we grew up in - the Amazon Basin and the Pacific Northwest. To celebrate our twin environments, we source the most sustainable ingredients from both regions.
Our commitment to wholesome ingredients means our recipes don't need a ton of sugar or weird additives to taste good. Instead, we allow the flavors of real food to shine using gentle processing techniques from our home kitchen.

Our Story
Jerson and Autumn first met in a Seattle hiking group where they bonded over their mutual affinity for nature, adventure, and delicious food.
They also shared an understanding of how the environment is linked to our health through the food we eat. This became the inspiration for Bōkas, a play on the Latin word for mouth, "bucca".
Jerson and Autumn still reside in Seattle where they like to spend their free time cooking with friends and family. In the winter months, they travel to sunny Colombia where they continue to hike and foster direct trade in the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta region.
